Start of the game
After the game preparations are complete, the game begins.
It is played alternately in turns. A turn consists of three phases:
Placement Phase
Action Phase
Drawing Phase
Placement Phase - During the Placement Phase you can place the cards you hold in your hand on the battlefield. Placing is only allowed in your own zone.
If you place a card, the hexagon must be free - unless you add a card to an existing troop. Placing is considered an action, so newly placed cards cannot take any action in the following action phase.
Action phase - during the action phase you can
1. Take one action with each (own) character card that was already on the field before the Placement Phase.
2. Equip character cards with equipment cards.
3. use or activate your characters effects (Effects are not considered an action and can therefore be used in addition to an action. The usability depends on the Effect Type and the Effect Behavior.
Drawing phase - The Drawing Phase is the last phase of the turn. You draw as many cards until the number of cards held is 3 again or your deck pile is empty and you cannot draw another card.
If you did not play a card out of your hand during the action phase and thus still hold 3 cards in your hand before the start of the Drawing Phase, the top card from the deck pile is automatically "burned". This means that the card is sent to the graveyard and the character is considered perished. This guarantees a smooth game in which both players are forced to stay active to a certain extent.
