*This guide is not part of the Monthly Guide Challenge. Hi guys,
this is a guide to a Naphas Deck, which I built only with cards of the Starter Deck. DECKLIST: Alnarasz Eph - Arsok Eph - Blancara Eph, Brix Dra, June Dra - Draska Dra, Drax Juz, Isaresh Juz, Kishk Dra, Sherdet Dra, Valash Dra, Vanax Eph - Crekso Dra, Crekso Dra, Druskur Dra, Druskur Dra, Druskur Dra, Druskur Dra, Fin The Wayfarer, Krehash Dra, Rhuz Juz, Rhuz Juz, Rhuz Juz, Sipash Dra, Sipash Dra, Sisash Dra, Sisash Dra - Aazrins Essence, Drophir Poison, Venoz Poison
In the video below I explain the reasoning behind every card and also our strategy with this deck:
Regarding Starting 5 it really depends on the matchup and if you start first or go second. Here are some Starting 5 - Selection I would recommend against certain matchups: Against the Nordur I would recommend the following Starting 5:
June Dra - Kishk Dra - Fin The Wayfarer - Crekso Dra - Crekso Dra
Why? When playing against Nordur the changes are high that you will play against the master Volgar / against Lorik Bormbart or the Elmar Wolkrenn - Troop.
Volgar is resilient against hermeticists - and thats why we need melee power. Choosing June gives you melee and range power. Lorik Bormbar and Elmar Wolkrenn have 3 range, so it is a good idea to use Fin The Wayfarer with his Protector-Ability. You can use Fin for pushing the Creksos out in the neutral zone.
Against the Tagari I would recommend the following Starting 5:
Blancara Eph - Isaresh Juz - Fin the Wayfarer - Sipash Dra - Sipash Dra
Why?
You will most likely face either Tapeesa or Asaki because those are the cards in the Starter Deck of the Tagari. Both of them are ranged units and also the Tagari in general have a lot of marksman - thats why we use Fin the Wayfarer again. Blancara is a threat to any card in your opponents deck as I explained in the video. Isaresh can be used in different ways because of her Impairment-Ability and Sipash Dra is a good stackable warrior card with range. Your opponent could also have Kapu in his deck, who is resilient against marksman - thats why we only have hermeticists and Fin in our Starting 5.
Against the Arachnids I would recommend the following Starting 5:
Blancara Eph - Kishk Dra - Rhuz Juz - Rhuz Juz - Rhuz Juz
Why?
You will most likely face Akurus or Rezu Szartuzoh. Both dont have that much damage for heroes and also Akurus Paralyze ability does not work against troops. Against the Arachnids you can really try to use this Rhuz Juz troop. Stack them in the front line with 12 defense and they will be hard to overcome while also dealing 6 damage. You can also try to move them into the first row of the neutral zone if possible. With 2 range they will cover a lot of fields with 6 attack.
Against the Naphas I would recommend the following Starting 5:
Blancara Eph - Brix Dra - Isaresh Dra - Crekso Dra - Crekso Dra
Why? Brix will give you the possibility to move in the neutral zone with your Creksos and Blancara or Isaresh. His protector ability can be crucial against your opponents Sisash Troop or Vauk, which both have 3 range. Isaresh is always a good option to lower the attack value of cards like Alnarash, Riuk, Juuk, June, etc. When gaining control of the neutral zone you will most likely draw cards with range, which you can then place behind this meatwall. Of course there are a lot of other options for your Starting 5, but those are some examples that could work for you.
I will constantly update this guide - if there are new ideas or questions that need to be answered.
If you have any questions let me know in the comment section below.
