This is the video of todays episode "Troop Strength". Below the video I have the whole episode in text form for those who want to discuss it in here.
The Troop Strength value only affects the character cards of the "Warriors" class and expresses two important points: 1. How often you can have the respective card in the deck
2. How often you can stack the respective card
Of course, only identical cards can be stacked on top of each other to form troops.
If cards are stacked, single units become troops. In the case of a troop, the core values "attack" and "defense" of each card in the stack are added together. The core values "movement" and "range" remain unchanged despite stacking. More units mean more strength in terms of attack and defense. Just because several units join together, they can by no means move further or attack at greater distances.
Troops can perform actions just like individual cards. They can attack together, move together + they can separate again to occupy several fields. We will explain the actions of troops in more detail in one of the upcoming videos. Why did we implement Troop strength in our game?
We thought it would be cool if characters could be moved across the battlefield not only individually, but also as troops. As is the case in real battles, many smaller troops fight their own skirmishes during the war. This allows them to compete with cards of higher levels. This element offers many more strategic options that you will surely discover while playing.
What do you guys think about this episode? Let us know in the comment section :).
Seems like an really interesting idea i think! Will all races have Warrior-Cards?
